The years have been kind to me however some body parts are wearing out faster than others. The Restube Sports has given me the confidence to get back in the waves on my paddle board and get back in to bump and jump windsurfing at my local.
Feels really good to have a safety device like restube when i am offshore kiting or paddling.
I haven't had to use it yet but the quality is good and it gives me the confidence to go out in the surf and be safe.
I spent quite a bit of time looking for a flotation device that could be worn easily in the water. That is when I came across Restube. This is an awesome and innovative product. Our first Restube test was with my 7 year old son. My son Noa has very basic swimming ability and has not spent much time out of his depth. I gave Noa a brief explanation on what to do to trigger the Restube to inflate. I then asked Noa to float just out of his depth and then he pulled the cord on the Restube waist belt to trigger inflation of the Restube. It inflated perfectly first go. He pulled the Restube under his arms and floated around comfortably. I see this as a device that would have so many beneficial applications in different water related situations. It is very compact and easy to keep in your bag. It is easy and comfortable to wear in the water. Around here (South Western Australia) ocean swells are large and ocean surge can make you lose your footing easily. Noa will wear this when he wants to play in the water and he will practise inflating it and then pulling it under himself for support. Overall a brilliant idea that provides much needed peace of mind and gives people an option when they may suddenly find themselves out of their depth or out of their comfort zone in ever changing ocean environments. I would definitely recommend giving people and children some supervised test runs when they first start using the Restube. Familiarity with the product will help them feel really comfortable with how it works, so if they need to use the Restube suddenly they will know exactly what to do.
